And there lies the crux of the issue. Creationism isn't science - those who try to portray it as such cite tered pieces of "evidence," a lot of which has been thoroughly debunked, to try to wrestle it into some semblance of a scientific theory, but in the end, all it comes down to is "God created it." That's why it's so ridiculous that so many high profile people are wasting so many resources trying to drag it into the public education system - it's not helping anyone, and the fact that it is an issue at all is just making the US system the of jokes in the rest of the world.
