All those participants years before: What is Program Latihan Khidmat Negara Malaysia?

Erm... I would like to hear opinion from malaysians who went through this program.How is it like? Is it really that hard and is it really like erm.... I don't know, some of my friends say it's certainly not a heaven. How would they know? They haven't even been there before. I'm confused.
