Are game tester jobs scams or do they really work?

I'm from Sri lanka.I found out web sites like gametesterguide.net saying that I get paid to test games from home.I have to pay an amount of money to them to be a member.The say that I'm going to be paid really well.Does these sites really work or are they just scams? Is there anyway that I could get the gametesting contracts for free?
